Hello everyone - hope it's as lovely where you are as it is here is sunny and warm Somerset?
I said when I started this blog that I wanted to try to join in with a few challenges well I've got round to making a card to enter into 2 new challenges for me this week. My card is for a baby girl, it's for my friend's who are expecting a little girl to arrive at the beginning of July. I've used Promarkers and included flowers on a card that is for 'babies' so that I fulfil the requirements of both challenges. Right here are the pics of my card;
As you can see I've used a stamp from the Popcorn collection. Love this old fashioned pram. Right the challenges are:
Passion For Promarkers challenge - wk 106 - babies
I love Promarkers challenge 72 - use flowers.
Right better post this then go and link my post on the challenge blogs, getting good at this linking lark now! lol.
Take care Zo x

Sepia anyone?
Hello on this Tuesday morning!
Well it seems the clouds are keeping the sun at bay here in Somerset, but it's trying to peek through. Still warm though. Anyway a few weeks ago I watched a few demo's on TV using Promarkers to achieve sepia looks. I loved the effect so thought I'd have a go.
I used the beautiful Tilda with a small gift stamp. Mounted onto my Spellbinders Nesties using Core-dinations card so that I could distress it slightly. The paper is from a Debbi Moore CD-ROM, Regency collection if I remember rightly. I used the sentiment from Craftwork cards and added white flowers that I rubbed over with my distress ink too so it all went together.
Hope you like it, take care Zo x

Another week begins!
Hello everyone!
Well firstly I'm glad to have my broadband back as it seemed to go astray over the weekend, but to be fair my provider did text to say there was a fault.
It's so muggy here, but cloudy, we've already had some rain so I'm waiting for the clap of thunder and lightening to start; know it's coming as I've got one of those headaches you get when thunder is on the cards.
Right once again I'm entering the Glitter Geeks challenge and this week it's for handbags and glad rags. I thought of this SWALK stamp straight away. I also had paper with the shoe and lipstick on so knew I could cut them out. Hope you like it.
Anyway thanks for looking at my blog, I'm slowly building confidence with all the links and finding my way around. I'm hoping that I'll have time to look at more challenges and be able to enter more than one a week.
Urgh it's raining again!

My Paint Fusioned Mirror!
Good Evening,
Well here it is! Took me quite a while to finish but I'm so thrilled with the result. Just hope my friend's wife will love it too. Wanted to create something that was feminine, colourful and something just for her. Can't see me replicating this one again not on this scale. The original mirror was a horrible blue/orange-y colour so I crackled the background and then went to town painting the daisies, tulips, lavender and berries. Not sure all of these would necessarily grow at the same time but hey, it's my artistic license! lol
I took some photos along the way to show how it came together. The mirror measures approx. 19 inches in height and 13.5 inches in width so it's quite a big project. I kind of went with it in terms of the colours, distressing and choosing what I felt worked as I painted. It's certainly given me the confidence to attempt large projects in the future. Hope you like it. Take care Zo x

Gothic wedding!
Good afternoon!
Well it's fab to have mum home, though I think dad's driving her mad with all his fussing! Anyway thought I'd better post some cards. A friend of mine has been invited to her niece's wedding. The niece has always been into Gothic fashion etc, and is wearing claret, with bridesmaids in black and ivory. I was asked to make 2 acceptance cards that the bride could keep as mementos from her auntie. Here they are
We had a chat about them and I explained my ideas to go with the black base card with claret and white Centura pearl accents. I chose to use similar features but differently so that they worked together but also stand alone. Here's hoping both bride and auntie like them!

A quick Hello!
Hi everyone
Sorry for my lack of posts lately. Mum's still in hospital, scans have revealed she's got problems with stones in and around her Gall bladder. Having another scan today. Been visiting everyday and haven't had time for much crafting as you can imagine.
Once mum's home will be crafting like a good'un, I really want to start entering some challenges. So far have only managed to enter the Glitter Geeks weekly challenge. Never mind, looking forward to getting cards made and ready for July's birthdays. Can't believe where the time is going at the moment.

Hello! My Father's Day card.
Well Good Afternoon everyone,
What a day, my mum has been rather poorly lately and over night she got worse so Dad took her into hospital. At first they thought it could be Appendicitis but now they think it's her Gall Bladder. Am waiting to hear the latest so thought I'd come on here for a bit of company.
While I'm waiting I thought I'd post my 2nd challenge card for the Glittergeeks challenge so I'm entering my Father's Day card I've made for my Dad. It's a Humphrey's Corner image, one that reminds me of many hours, wrestling and playing when I was a child, with my dad and brother! What fun times filled with much laughter and those memories inspired this card. I used the CD-rom for the decoupage image and papers. I created the insert and text using my craft studio. Then topped it off with Card Candy! Love using candy.
Anyway hoping for better news later today when dad goes into see mum. Fingers Crossed. Off to link my post on the challenge blog, go me, getting the hang of this now. Take care Zo x

Just a quick hello!
Sorry been quiet last few days, been busy setting up our new laptop. Old one now ready for my son to use for all his homework and schooling. But I reckon he'll soon find the joys of social networking sites! Have already sorted parental control so he can't access anything not suitable.
As well as that I've been working on a mirror that I'm altering using paint fusion. It's coming along nicely and promise to share pics once it's finished.
Right time for a cuppa I reckon then I'm getting on with some cards. June seems to be going by so fast!
Take care everyone. Zo xx

My 1st Challenge card in Blogland!
What a beautiful afternoon it is here in Somerset. Hope the sun's shining where you are? Well here it is - my 1st challenge card in Blogland. It's made especially for the launch of the Glittergeeks challenge blog (http://glittergeeks.blogspot.com/). Let's hope I get the linking etc right!
Ok the theme is Glitz & Glamour, so I've made a Christmas card (Yes I know it's only June!) for one of my best friends.
I used Debbi Moore's Paris Glitz & Glamour cd-rom for the decoupage. I love cutting decoupage by hand even if it is difficult for me some days with my medical conditions, but it's a good way of keeping the fingers moving!
I backed the image onto Kanban Geranium Chestnut cardstock and mounted that onto an A5 Chocolate Centura pearl card base.
Th flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts & the ribbons and bits & bobs are from my crafty stash.
Hope everyone likes my effort. Thanks for looking and supporting my blog.

Paint Fusion!!
I've been busy lately perfecting my version of Paint Fusion having been asked to decorate a mirror in the style. So I've made lots of toppers for simple cards. See what you think & let me know. Take care Zo xx
Woohoo! Exciting Times.
Am so pleased to hear the news that Bristol Rovers are planning on building a new stadium on the UWE campus, Bristol. As a Rovers fans I've been waiting to hear this for many years. Fingers crossed that planning goes ahead.
On a crafting front I'm planning on transforming two mirrors, one with Paint Fusion, the other with characters for a nursery. Both for my good friend's, Dave & Sarah. Dave, has already been on the phone this morning talking about the UWE Stadium & Rovers.
Might have to design a new Rovers card in its honour as and when it happens!
Will definitely make writing my article interesting in the new season.

Good Morning!
Feeling happier this morning. Always good. I'm working on a couple of cards that are Sepia colour tones. Seems to be a popular trend at the mo. Haven't ever done this before so thought I'd have a go. I'm using a Tilda stamp and a Hanglar image. Will post pics when I've finished.
BUT first I have to help my son build a model for school, well he's at school and mum's left to make a start! A Motte and Bailey castle would you believe. Good job I've got crafty supplies and cds with various backgrounds. Lol.

Where the Magic happens!
Thought I'd share with you pictures of my craft room/office/studio. It's where all my cards are made, where all my Bristol Rovers articles are written and when I feel like it where my pictures get drawn or painted.
It isn't always this tidy though!

Ok my first post!
Well I thought I'd better write something and see what it looks like. Have spent the morning enjoying the sunshine, but have come back in to reapply the sun cream. Not that it'll make much difference. I'll still be milky white later just with a few more freckles!. Right off to get some lunch. Will try and start posting pictures soon. Once I work out how that is.
