When you make a conscious choice to be happy, no one can take it away from you because no one gave it to you: you gave it to yourself.

WOYWW 211

Morning!

Desk dashers should dash over to Julia's to link up and join in, or just to see what on Earth this is all about & why!!

Okay my desk -

An ever growing pile of stamps including my new Dylusions & Tim Holtz purchases. Those beady eyes of some of you may spot a few more Copic sketch markers in my collection. Yep I needed a new colour combo ( you'll see it when I do my hair colouring tutorial).

Beautiful sunshine!

Window side is in-between I guess, a few things on the window sill ready & waiting and then last night I decided to finish off the page in my art journal. A new thing for me really. But I'm liking the freedom and gives a chance to get inky and messy if I choose. This finished page was inspired by a video Dyan from Dylusions did a while ago using black and white.

Anyway that's me showing my space this week. While you are here may I point out I've finally got myself in gear and have responded to many of you all asking me to do tutorials. So now there's a dedicated page for my tutorials, so they are easy to find but I will post them too so people will know when a new one appears!!

Take care Zo xx

The black and white page is really effective.
I agree that your desk does alway look tidy even though you are being creative. We need a tutorial on staying that way!

Tutorials are a pressure, so whilst everyone appreciates your effort and frankly, your talent, please dont be stressed or over worked by them, huh. Yep, I totally see the you NEEDED a new colour set...I mean, it's not like you use any other colours for the tute, huh!!

I really love that journal page. I love the grid with its wavy lines and the combination of words and drawings. Just fabulous. And I'm really glad you're enjoying having somewhere to play. I enjoy having a pressure free space to create.

Thank you so much for visiting.
Happy WOYWW.
Cheers, Rachel.

I love all the stamps and inks I see!! And the "hair coloring" tutorial threw me off for a second. I thought you meant actual hair! And I was like "how will she color her hair with Copics"? Then I realized you meant coloring hair, like a stamped image hair!! I cracked myself up over that!!!
Your art journal looks wonderful!!

I've never owned a Copic, but they sure make pretty additions to your desk. And your have more stamps on your desk than I own!! I sure like those journaling pages. Black and white are always favorites of mine. Have a super slightly late WOYWW from #17.
