Hello again!
It's that day again when we share our desks and line up for the weekly register over at The Stamping Ground with Headmistress Julia in charge.
So my desk and to be honest not much has changed since Sunday evening when I came home from my trip to Milton Keynes, which you can read all about HERE. The Crafty Boots ladies that came all had a super time as you can see! So the desk is really the leftovers from my trip as I put things onto it, though I did tidy away some of my new goodies and I did put finishing touches to my journal pages, but the rest of the time I've been unwell, the price to pay for having such a super time unfortunately.
Okay so the right side - there's the pile of stamps I'm going to sort into categories as I now have new stamps by Dylusions, then there's the boxes containing Christmas kits from Kanban and Hunkydory which I've been sorting through choosing different toppers etc for family and close friends. Choices being piled on top of my pen storage, hmm wonder how long before it all comes crashing down!
Move over and you find this - the tin foil/alcohol marker book covers we made following a demo by Gabrielle, a few bits I didn't get to do so will do them at some point to go in the book as we came away with instruction booklets where we all wrote up instructions for our projects, mine was a step-by-step colouring tutorial, and then the 'Zoe' bag containing all my swaps I was given and that precious booklet.
At the front are the journal pages we started following a demo by Sandra, I wanted to finish it using my new stamps so got to work on Sunday evening, glad I did otherwise they'd still be sat there waiting. These will go in the book covers along with the other tags etc. The beauty of using jump rings is I can add to this book as I play with the techniques we learned from each other as I know I'll have a go at them all again.
So that's me - as I said I've be pretty poorly since coming home, so bad in fact I had to cancel Hydro this week as I knew I wasn't up to it. I was expecting it to be fair, I've come to accept that such an adventure comes with a hefty price to pay physically. But do you know? I wouldn't change it. Meeting up with the ladies and having a fab crafty day was an absolute pleasure, one I'd repeat in an instant.
Take care Zo xx

Morning, thanks for letting me peek into your creative world this morning. Hope you are feeling better soon. There's lots of crafty goodness on your desk to look at too. Love the look of the foil journal cover.

I missed retuning your visit last week so you are on my list for this week!
I am a HUG fan of using up leftovers :) Some weeks it seems I can go all 7 days and never cut into a pristine sheet of cardstock - but I do have to be careful that I don;t let my obsession with whittling down my scraps inform my DESIGN decisions and end up with an inferior project. I may hate to create MORE scraps, but sometimes you just have to!
and love the tin foil cover, BTW. I've done that with Sharpies but never my Copics. Must experiment.....
Happy WOYWW!

Ooh... fabulous colours on your journal pages, and the texture on the tin foil book cover looks amazing! Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, but glad that the fun and the crafting seems to have been worth it... happy WOYWW!

You look as if you've had such a fab time at the weekend but I am sorry that it took such a toll. Rest up, my gorgeous girly and you'll be crafting-fit again in no time!!
Hugs, LLJ ~36 xx
Your dylusion spray work is looking fabulous, Zoe! I love those colours. Hope you feel better soon, but at least you had a great weekend. We all did! Helen, 9 (not sure about the interview, we'll see!!)
Ah, yes, Zoe, I can identify with the 'price we have to pay' - hope you recover quickly so you can get crafting again. And judging by your post, it was worth it - the weekend looks and sounds like a lot of fun. Love the colours of the Dylusion sprays on your journal pages. Hope you've had a great WOYWW. lots of interesting things and techniques on your desk and you obviously had a good crafty weekend even if you have had to 'pay a price' for it but you are being positive and a smile at each end of the day goes a long way. Hope you're soon up to crafting again.

Hi Zoe! It's been a while since I've visited so thought I'd have a catch-up. I laughed at you piling stuff on top of your pens - let me tell you, you can pile a lot more than that before it comes crashing down - I've tried it! lol!
I hope you feel better soon, I know what you mean about paying the price for having a super time.
I'm off for a bit more catching up.

Oh, don't you have it when you have to make those choices? I can do this but then this.... of course it was worth it though. For feeling poorly you've kept up with some crafty goodies. The journal pages are looking fab!
Reading a couple of your twitter comments and seeing the pictures on a couple of desks today looks like you all had a fab time. Rest up awhile and get yourself right..i so know how that is when you so want to do these things but you pay the price

I guess you have to weigh up what's worth it. Safe at home and relatively fit or out having fun and paying the price. I'm grateful I don't have to make this choice, but I like to think I'd have the guts to make the same one
All kinds of goodness on your desk! Love the foil and the book cover! Feel better soon. Nan 93
Happy WOYWW. It is a shame that we have to limit what we do each day. I get very frustrated at times, but like you try to keep positive and enjoy what I have got. Thank goodness we have crafting and blogging to keep us sane! Gorgeous colours on the journal. Ali x #19
Love your desk! I see we have similar pens and racks to stack our stuff on. ;-) I am sorry you are not well. I have to weigh the pros and cons of activities and do so even with grocery shopping vs going out to do light shopping and dinner with friends cause I can't do both on a single day. Nice thing though is mine seems to have stablized over the past year! I love swaps and do swaps for recipes, card candies, flower makings, button fairies etc. Look on Splitcoaststampers.com for fun swaps to do. Hope you have a great week and thanks for sharing. Am so glad you feel it was worth it, and so impressed that you are so irrepressible! Lovely stuff waiting for you too, those projects were great, and the book ring bound journal is such a great way to use and remember the techniques.
Gorgeous sweetie, hope your feeling better x x x
Hi Zoe, long time no visit :-)
Looks like you've been having crafty fun, hope you've recovered. My crafting time has been very limited lately. Hoping to be able to rejoin the WOYWW hop b4 too long!
