When you make a conscious choice to be happy, no one can take it away from you because no one gave it to you: you gave it to yourself.

Here we go WOYWW 142

Hello fellow WOYWW-ers or any one else that pops by!

Please pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what I'm on about and, of course, to meet fellow crafty peeps sharing their desks, space, floor...er um, and where ever they choose to create!

My desk today

Well this is how I left it yesterday so this is what's greeted me this morning. I'm in the middle of a stamping session. I don't know about you but when I want to colour and create, I get frustrated having to do all the stamping bits first so I often have mammoth stamping sessions and get all the images ready to colour. I'm stamping onto Ultimate graphic paper bought from Polka Doodles. The stamps are mostly from Crafter's Companion's SWALK, Strawberry Kisses ranges but I have stamped some Tilda stamps and even some Christmas images. Oh yes, I plan to get on with the dreaded 'C' word early. But then I say that every year!

The button collection has grown again this week and now white buttons have joined the rest on the shelf. Thank goodness my dad gets through a jar a week of that sauce stuff he has!

Right last week you may remember my desk was covered in printed out sheets. Well I've made a couple of cards with them so I thought I'd show you them too.

These are both from those sheets, and are for my brother, one from my son and the other from me. I love this vintage style and enjoyed distressing, tearing and splattering to create these 2.

Right I'm off to make a coffee before starting my trip around your desks. Yes I visit everyone and try to leave a comment if Blogger let's me that is. But it does take me a few days, I don't sit here for hours at a time you know! Lol

Take care Zo xx

Those are great cards Zo, really like the papers you've used, especially the Made In Britain ones. I find that every time I stamp out a load of images I want to go and use something I didn't stamp on my nest card! I have a shoe box with a lot of images in that I never seem to use much of! What is that sauce that your Dad likes so much that he eats a jar a week!!

Hugs

Another tidy desk - what is going on.
If you haven't been to Prague I thoroughly recommend it.
I am desperately trying to catch up with last week so I am not posting this week. I also have two projects on the go which are not for public viewing - yet!

Your desk looks so organised, Zoe. I never manage to stamp out images and colour them all in one go but end up doing them as I go along, probably why it takes me so long.
Your vintage cards are gorgeous, love them.

Can't believe you are thinking of starting on the C cards in February - you must send out a raft of them if you have to start so early.
Love the two vintage cards - style is right up my street.

Love that flag paper..where ever did you find that beauty?

It is hard to find anything British themed over here. I snatch up anything I see, for my vacation scrapbook.

Your cards are great. All that tearing and splattering must be very therapeutic.

My dad is Coeliac so can only have certain sauces, the jars are from Tesco Finest Tartar Sauce, small size, as large sizes have ingredients containing gluten, that's why he gets through a jar a week, it's only small! Zo xx

I love the cards! I don't mind the stamping part, but I hate the cleaning the stamps part. I just started using digital stamps - they are so fun and easy, just print and go!

Thanks, Zo for stopping by. Your cards look great. I do the same as you, stamp a bunch of images and then make the cards. Seems faster that way.

I don’t know about you Zo but I always find card for men so hard to make, although having said that I’ve found some wonderful Crafty Individuals stamps that are just perfect.

Loving the two cards you’ve managed to make though. That vintage ‘shabby’ look suites the papers perfectly.

Thanks for visiting me this week.

Happy Crafting!

They look like some great images there. I'm new to Promarkers and stamps that need colouring so I'm always happy to see blank images needing a little lurve.

Your button jars look pretty! I know what you mean about getting tedious bits out of the way (the stamping in your case) so you can get on to the more fun parts. When I use my diecut machine I usually do a bunch at once.
