When you make a conscious choice to be happy, no one can take it away from you because no one gave it to you: you gave it to yourself.

WOYWW 138

It's Wednesday and that means I get to have a chance of being very nosey as I have a peek into your worlds and see what's on your desk. Of course none of us would have been able to be so nosey if it weren't for Julia over at The Stamping Ground who hosts this wonderful walk about weekly.

So here's my desk today,

The starting of a new project, just printed out the bits and bobs I wanted, the stamped image is hidden from you as I don't want to share it just yet! lol The bags of buttons are recent finds in my local haberdashery, they had a big basket full of bags of buttons, all colours etc. So I bought these 3 as I thought the colours would work with many a make.

I will confess I am a tidy(ish) crafter and tend to tidy away each night apart from anything drying etc.

Right I will be peeking at your desks during the day and will try and leave a few comments. I do look at each and every one even if I don't say anything.

Take care and enjoy the day. Zo x

I love that wording "many a make"! You are thrifty and clever at making the most out of a purchase, to get from it all that you can in different ways - good luck with this project. My writing desk today? Is the laptop in the lounge, as I've blogged today's post and am now starting work on the next pesky poem in the sequence!

Great find on the buttons, I love buttons! I'm generally a tidy crafter too, can't stand too much mess and have to tidy up before the next project starts.

My new year's resolution 2 years ago was to be a tidy crafter. It does happen sometimes, but not all the time - I think you are a rare breed amongst us crafters!
Great find on the buttons - it's always a thrill to find a crafty bargain! And very sneaky with the stamped image there, I've become a follower so I can come back and see what it is!

Tidiest desk of the week so far! Well done. I'm struggling to get straight so I can be let loose with my butane gas torch and start my silversmithing again soon. It will make me keep tidy! Those buttons are a great find.!

Great desk, so tidy! Your new project looks intriguing. Good on you for packing up at the end of the day, it makes for a more productive session, no unnecessary destructions or reason to procrastinate. I feel old habits slowly creeping back lately, I'm a clutter queen by nature, and have to constantly keep it in check. Thanks for the reminder. Happy WOYWW xx

I'm not quite that tidy but I do try to keep my space fairly picked up with a big to-do on Sunday nights. The bags of buttons are a fabulous find. Happy crafting!

Hello Zo, those buttons are a great find and will be very useful I'm sure, and I'm curious to see what you are hiding from us :) Like you, I normally tidy everything away after I've finished a project, even sometimes as I'm making the project which can make work for me when I need to use an item again, but that didn't happen last week as you've no doubt seen. Hope you have a good week. Elizabeth x #45

I love your desk! It is wonderful that you tidy up so often. I find I craft more when I'm tidy, but I just can't bring myself to do it, as I make such a mess! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog :) The jars on my blog are from the Ikea marketplace, they are marketed as spice jars, but they are perfect for buttons and such!

Happy WOYWW (on Thursday!)
