When you make a conscious choice to be happy, no one can take it away from you because no one gave it to you: you gave it to yourself.

Leavers day celebrations

Thought I'd share a few pics with you from my boy's Leavers day Parade. He had his prom tonight! Can't believe he's left school, really hitting home now. Anyway here they are -

Can't believe how grown up Keagan looks here!

Posing next to the car he arrived in (a friend's very posh BMW)

Can you tell how proud I am!!

Boys!

Keagan and his 2 friends he's walked to school with since day 1.

One of Keagan's best mates and their tutor. Ms Allan has been an amazing support to me and Keagan during his time at Somervale.

This is Keagan's oldest friend, Rhia. They met at playschool!!

Sinead and Keagan. A girl after my own heart. Loving her blue hair!!

Keagan with Joe and Sam who happen to be twins! Really. Obviously not identical!!

So there you go. A peek into my personal world for once.
Enjoy your weekend.

Good day desk dashers!

I'm here to share my desk as per our wonderful leader Julia's rules so here we are -
Stuff lying around - papers, printed embellishments and card.

This is how I left it last night, trying to decide which paper to use as a background in my album

I'm now adding photos from after Wembley from when we went to the Rovers ground for the celebrations. Now I know many of you may have missed my post re my pages to do with the crop so you can find them HERE

SO that's me. Short & sweet. Bit like me eh?!

Male cards at Crafty Boots!

Good afternoon everyone.

I'm back to share my Crafty Boots DT project which involves anything male-related. As it's Father's Day later in the month I've made a card for my dad.

I've created this design in Craft Artist Pro and printed onto watercolour card which works well with such inky designs. Once printed I've added some glossy details. I've deliberately chosen to do this project to show how you can still create a fabulous design while keeping everything totally flat. Perfect to keep those postage costs down!!

Hope you'll have fun coming up with any male projects you like to join in. Pop over to our blog to link up!

The Album - WOYWW pages

Good afternoon!

I'm back to share a few more of my pages from my birthday week album. This time it's the pages featuring the WOYWW crop!!

As a double spread.

I confess these photos were taken by LLJ's husband, Gordon, who takes wonderful photos.

I've added a bit of journalling to detail the day. The doily reminds me of cake!

As you can see it's not all flat.

I took selfies!! Lol

Another doily and I found my large letters so added the WOYWW.

Across both.

You'll notice throughout my album that I mat and layer my photos depending on what I want to stand out of the photo. In these selfies I want our faces to be the main focus so I mat them onto light pink. If I didn't the blue and black would be prominent. However as we go through you'll notice different colour mats. So keep an eye out. I learnt this trick from a scrapbooking show on tv.

I really didn't realise what a difference the colour of the mats make till I tried it myself.

Let me know what you think! I'm working on the pages that show my trip to Wembley now!

WOYWW 313 - an album to share

Well hello desk dashers and all who else pops by. You are very welcome!

Am linking up with Julia at her desk (Stamping Ground) to share mine -
So right side shows my typewriter under sheets of printed embellishments. I often print then add glossy accents, stickles or crackle to create my own accents for projects. Especially albums or Smash books where I don't want too many bulky items. And of course, there's my pens.

My Wembley tickets waiting to be included in my album on top of Dylusions stamps. You can also see my Ebosser and my Pogo printer. That wooden storage block (left) is what I was given at the WOYWW crop for my birthday. Made by our Julia! It's perfect for all my bits and bobs.

Photos. Lots of them. All from my birthday week ready to go in my album I am creating.
I shared the start of said album in a post HERE

I was going to blog another post to share the next pages, but I thought nah let's do it here!
So here's the next double spread detailing my actual birthday.

Spot of journalling, selfie and other pics.
More pics of presents and cards
Inside the main cover I've added this introduction it tells exactly what I did during my birthday week. I added these gorgeous embellishments.
Here's the full page. I love how it looks and that girl image is from Some Odd Girl. I actually only used half the image. Only wanted her top half. Coloured her to be a bit like me! Lol

Right that's me; I'm working on the pages that share our WOYWW crop. I have so many photos and things to include. Will share next time!
