When you make a conscious choice to be happy, no one can take it away from you because no one gave it to you: you gave it to yourself.

For Helen, You'll Never Walk Alone!

I can finally share this card I made for my crafty friend, Helen, Stamping by H as it's her birthday today and I know the card has arrived safely! While we both love crafts we also both love football. Helen is a huge Liverpool fan, while I support Bristol Rovers, but as a family we also follow Liverpool in the Premier League so we often tweet each other relating to results etc.. So what with the World Cup as well, I decided to make a suitable card -

It's a bit of a running joke really because it is well known by those who know me that I don't do red so I knew Helen would appreciate my efforts! The image is a Some Odd Girl character which I coloured with Copics & Graph Its. I matted and layered the finished image with red, black and white card. I stamped out 'You'll Never Walk Alone' (Liverpool's anthem if you didn't know!) onto candi using the stamps from Craftwork cards that were made especially for the candi. Perfect size!

I actually really enjoyed colouring this despite the colour!! Lol

I'm entering this into the following challenges -

Hope you like my football card, just a pity it can't be related to a super World cup for England who are now already home after failing to get out of the groups! :(

WOYWW 264

Well time has crept upon me and it's now afternoon! Not sure where the morning went though I know I slept more than I should have. I failed to set the alarm you see. So woke in a panic at 7.50 am. We usually get up at 7.20 am so it was a huge rush this morning to get Keagan out of the door on time. I know he is nearly 16 but he definitely ticks the teenage box where sleep is involved. We both hate to rush and prefer to sit down and have some brekkie and have a chat before he goes off to school.

Anyway I digress, desk, Zoe, desk -
I'm in full on invite making mode so my Ebosser is ready for action. You can see some of the stuff I store under the desk including my birthday cards from May. Still want to read through them and keep some, recycle others, you know how it goes.

So window side is where the action happens I have space to work and there are 3 piles of printed page. All for those invites. There's a poem, RSVP and main invite.

Some of the tools I use and yes on the base of my lamp are the stamped plaques that go on the front of the invites.

Won't be long before I can share the actual invites with you all. The Day versions are complete and are with the bride-to-be I'm now working through the Evening version which is pretty much the same apart from some wording and colour change!

Right pop over to our desk dashing Queen, Julia's place, to join in, find out or just be nosey!

For Harrison

Good afternoon everyone - back today to share my card I made for my friend's little boy, Harrison, who is 7 today. He loves motor racing and cars so I created this card for him.

I coloured this racing car I found on children's colouring page site on the web. The papers are from My Minds Eye.....I think! I added the wooden embellishments and stamped out his name on to the Candi.

The image is coloured with a combination of Graph Its and Copics.

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges -

WOYWW 262

Morning! Well I am here desk dashers rather early for a change, I've not slept well so thought I'd just get up and on with the day. You need to dap over to the Desk-Dashing-Delights that is The Stamping Ground to join in or to just see what on earth I'm going on about.

Now during this no sleep thing I had another idea for sorting my craft room. I've been tackling it this last week a shelf at a time. Using boxes from various foods to cover to become storage. So this idea sprang and I rushed into my craft room to get it sorted then realised it wouldn't quite work as the shelf I'm working on is smaller than the previous one. No matter though I've come up with a plan!

I stood back a bit for this one so you can see it's not all as tidy as you think!

So pile of bags and card blanks and various papers.

Envelopes and boxes.

You guessed it, those boxes will be cut down to fit said shelf and then covered so they are pretty cos it's just needs to be that way and then my bags/envelopes/papers will sit neatly and not fall everywhere when I try to pull one out. Hopefully!

So I'm going to go back to bed for a bit then I'll pop round and see some of you later on. Have the coffee brewing cos I think I'll need it today!

It's time - World Cup!

Okay so anyone who knows me will recognise I may be a little distracted over the next few weeks. Yep it's World Cup Brazil starting this week. Crafty Boots are celebrating all things sport in honour of this fabulous occasion so pop over to join in & see the fab DT inspiration.

I opted for football naturally!

This footy stamp is from Crafter's Companion and it's perfect as it can be coloured to suit any team. This is for an Arsenal fan but I opted for England styling!
Coloured with markers - I love creating the dotty background to enhance the image.

I'm definitely going to colour this Bristol Rovers style at some point.

For our Boys

It's Digi Choosday and as always I'm here to share my make!

This challenge allowed me to make a birthday card for a family friend who turns 16 this week. I chose this fabulous Drummer Troy image from the Work & Play collection 1. because Josh loves his music. I added some music paper and washi tape from my stash. I coloured Troy with my Graph It markers and used the Graph It Shake silver and white pens in the background.

I actually used my Craft Artist to layer the pre-coloured image with the digital image so that I could keep the drums but colour the drummer myself!

Hope you like this - pop over and join in and also see the fabulous DT inspiration.

For Destiny

Hello there, happy Sunday, it's a lovely day here, well clouds with some sun, but still nice! I thought I'd pop by and share this birthday card I've made for my niece, Destiny, who will be 7 this week.

I love this cute Some Odd girl image Bookish Tia. I coloured her with a mix of Copics and Graph It markers. The papers are from Amy Tangerine and Heidi Swapp.

The shaped card base is from Dawn Bibby's collection. I've added some embellishments like the candi to finish it off. Hope you like it, I think Destiny will!!

I'm entering it into the following challenges -

Would love to know what you think, leave me a comment, I love to read them!!
