WOYWW 347 - the tattoo version

Happy Wednesday desk dashers - of course we are here to share and nose at desks through the magical portal that Julia has created over at The Stamping Ground

Today I'm sharing a different desk. It belongs to Max and he is a Tattooist. The reason for this is it's me having the tattoo!

Earlier today I finally got to have the tattoo I was going to have last year for my 40th, but with everything going on back then it didn't happen. I booked this appointment last October and have been looking forward to it ever since. So here's the pics -

So the guide transfer is put on.
Max started with the writing.
Then he got to work doing the colour work.

 Finished.
The colour is stronger in real life. The patches of the giraffe are detailed with flowers or leaves. Hard to see on here I know. I love it and am so happy with it. It doesn't hurt me that much just an annoying scratch really. But then I am on strong painkillers for my conditions!

In my opinion Max is the best artistic tattooist in our area. He also did my Paris tattoo on my other wrist. Today's design is because of my love of giraffes, art and a quote I've always loved.

So I hope you enjoyed this different desk today!
Take care Zo xx

  2. I'm not a lover of tattoos either, but nevertheless the design with the giraffe is stunning and I can imagine you are very pleased with it.
The quote is very fitting. It is a very good one. If you believe, you can.
Thanks for visiting earlier and your sweet comment,
    Have a good week,
    Lisca
(PS I had no idea you loved giraffes...)

  3. I love giraffes, too!!!! When we went to Disney World last year, they had some babies out with the adults at Animal Kingdom and they were so adorable. And that's a great quote as well. I'm glad you were able to get it. Happy WOYWW! ~ Laura #45

  5. Not a huge fan of tattoos but have to say I do love what you have done there Zoe! I only came across that saying a few weeks ago and just loved it! Thanks for popping by my blog earlier ... yes, nothing more enjoyable than messing around with inks. I send a few cards on anniversaries ... little memorial cards ... but messed up one and tried to "make-do" but was not really happy with it and woke this morning to very happily put it in the bin and do one from scratch. Yes, there are two cards on my desk but I will be holding a fundraising tea & cake thingy later in the year in aid of Rethink in memory of our nephew so each time I make ANYTHING this year I make two or three more for the event! How's that for thinking ahead then!!!! Love to you, Debbie xXx

  6. Well you learn something everyday, Zoe, i didn't know you were a giraffe lover either. If i was ever considering a tattoo, which isn't ever going to happen, but if I was this is what I'd choose too. I adore giraffes!!
    Thanks for popping by earlier

  7. That's a neat colorful tattoo. I have a tat around my ankle and right after I got it, everyone started kicking my ankle. You know, how like if your throat hurts everyone insists on talking to you. PJ #57

  8. You are so brave to have these tattoos done, I would be scared to have even a tiny one and on the inside of the arm too!!!
Love the design, did you design it yourself?

  12. Aren't you brave - I don't think I could go through with a tattoo but if I did it would have to be teeny tiny, with hardly any ink! The giraffe is fab and looks so cool in those bright colours, and I love the quote too. Glad you aren't hurting too much, have a great week,

  16. Happy WOYWW. The thought of having a tattoo fills me with dread. Any needle is extra-painful for me because of the Fibro. Love your design though. I am a giraffe fan too. Ali x #37

  17. Hi Zoe, love the tattoo! The quote is great and this is strange, but I bought a stamp saying exactly that on Saturday! Doug took me shopping, and spotted it and said I should get it.What a coincidence.I'm always finding stuff I put 'somewhere safe' or where 'I won't forget about it', lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz xxx

  18. Congrats on the tattoo! I had one about eighteen months ago. I was 44 at the time. Daughter and I got matching tattoos. It was all her idea lol. She made me go first. I got mine on my leg and she got hers on her arm. I've been thinking about getting another one but can't decide what to get done.
