Happy New Year everyone!
I don't know about you, but to me 2016 sounds quite futuristic. I don't know why. Just another random Zoe thing.
Anyway I'm here to share my desk as per our leader Julia asks us to join in. Who am I to refuse?!
As you can see there's the usual Book Art WIP, a pile of coloured pens I use in my new planner and some stickers that I love accented my pages with. Yes that is a PG Tips box. It's a good size and design so I'm going to cover it and turn it into a stationery box type thing!
Then there's this - Baxter - sat on my desk watching the world go by. He thought he'd take advantage of the fact that I've been working on the laptop this morning. I've not done any actual crafting yet just sorted photos of a new item I've added to Creative Together.
At least he is sitting nicely unlike yesterday when horses went by and he started barking at them. Tail swishing, pens flying and other stuff was sent off the desk!
I soon scooped him up and plonked him back in his bed which is where he is now as I'm typing -
Take care Zo xx
I see your book is for a dad? Folding book hedgehogs went down well at our Headway craft group but I don't think manybwould fancy tackling letters. Baxter's looking handsome. X Jackie 26
ReplyDeleteAww, Baxter's really cute lying on his bed! Just the right size for him. We bought a really cushy igloo-type bed for our cat Oreo, but he uses it as a play house and never ever sleeps in it, preferring to use the kitchen counter for that purpose. Go figure! Interesting folded book project! I'm intrigued to find out what it will become! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #39
ReplyDeleteThe folded book project looks interesting. Will we see it finished. I've cut up pretty green tea boxes to make cards but never thought of covering them. Baxter looks very comfy sleeping in his bed. Wishing you both a very happy and healthy 2016. Barbxx #28
ReplyDeleteI read your title, but wasn't expecting an actual real live dog on your desk! Love the book art. I must go back and read your other post about it later. Thanks for your kind comment on my card x

Tea boxes are perfect for recycling aren't they. I have a pile under my desk waiting to be turned into something interesting!!
ReplyDeleteIs Baxter helping? My cat decided to help yesterday and ate the template I was using! Good job it was only paper!
Happy New Year

I think the dog just likes looking out of the window lol and after all that hard work is ready for a nap! Like all your coloured pens. My daughter borrowed mine to try.shall see if I get them back lol
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely with you on futuristic 2016. I can hear Captain Kirk saying "Captain's log, January 6 2016" as Scottie takes them to warp speed! Happy crafting, Max #46 :-)
ReplyDeleteLove that book art! Great Baxter pics too! I have been using my phone recently but I like a few more setting choices! My old camera kept skipping to and fro - drove me nuts! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteOh my, that folded book is something else. Well done. Did you have a certain small helper holding the pages, or did you manage to keep him away from it all together?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the comments. John doesn't look too bad in the picture considering how spaced he was on medication at the time - much more like himself now!!
Take care. God bless.

That book folding looks great, it's a technique I have yet to try. And Baxter is gorgeous - I'm sure he's a great help!

I had planned to visit sooner, but not too long after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone. Baxter is a cutie, and now I know why I don't let my fellas in my craft room. I'm really intrigued by the book art project. I must check that out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting while I was freezing in the dark (sad tale, but true!). Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #1.
I forgot to mention that Squiggles got one of those beds for Christmas and refuses to sleep in it. In fact, I've yet to get him to even sit in it. He really loves a large paper bag I had originally thought I might use in my art. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteBless him! It does look to be quite a good look out point
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by x
Hi Zo and thanks for your visit. Hey I'm intrigued with those folded book projects, they look great. Dogs like cats love to be nearby. Enjoy your week RobynO#21
ReplyDeleteBaxter has the right idea - sit at the craft table and let the worries of the world just wash over you! A happy, healthy and crafty New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie Baxter is! Can't imagine the carnage a swooshing tail would do to the craft stuff though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, I am running late on my WOYWW visits!
Happy crafting and have a good week.

Doesn't Baxter look cute, just watching the world go by, and sitting in the one place that he just knows you'll join him!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Zoe!!! Your post is inspiring - I think I will try folding a book/pages too... it looks wonderful! Happy (belated) woyww, have a great weekend. Love from the Netherlands, Marit #29
ReplyDeleteBaxter made me laugh - I can imagine the chaos!!! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised by all the designs for book folding that are out and about now - very clever stuff.
Have a good week
