WOYWW 338

Hello desk friends and others.

I'm back to link up with Julia and all the desk dashers to share our desk.

Here's mine today -
So the right side is a bit of mess. I've just signed up to a monthly class with Kit and Clowder. So of course I've got a folder to put the theory stuff and my work as I go. Pens out everywhere!

The window side is tidier. There's a WIP book art going on, then my pile of Spectrum Noir pencil tins and then my colouring books. I recently bought one that cost me £9.99. BUT...Tesco has started selling them.
I bought this Animal one from Tesco for £4.
And this Lost Ocean one for £6. That's over half price each. Happy Zoe.
I do love these - the foiling makes them 'posh colouring books' as my mum called them!!

Keagan Update - he had a rough week last week as he had a fall and injured his ankle, thankfully a day's rest with ice pack sorted it out and he was back riding sooner rather than later. Then he got bit! Those horses are powerful. The bite went right through and broke the skin. Keagan says it was swollen and bruised. But I know it's better now. I spoke to him last night and he's had a few really good days riding. He is enjoying riding the bigger horses which are a challenge. But he's loving it!
He's so happy, you can hear it in his voice. While it is long days and hard work he's coping with it all. Washing being done regularly and he's had no problems getting up at 5.15am each day ready to be in the yard for 6am! Am looking forward to seeing him when I visit in a couple of weeks.

Will get round to see you all by next Wedsnesday!!
Take care Zo xx

  2. That's a great price for those colouring books, I'll have to keep my eyes out for them! I bet you do them so beautifully...I don't have enough pencils to do mine...I need more tones of green!!
Am so glad Keagan's doing well (and you too!)
    Hugs, LLJ 15 xx

  3. It's really good to hear your son has settled in well regardless of his teething problems ;-) Sorry about the pun. Glad you're enjoying some colouring fun.
    Have a great week.

  4. How exciting will that be to see your son again - sorry to hear he has had a few nasties over the past week or so. Hope his ankle and bite are soon better.
Great bargains you have snaffled - one would not think of the major stores as having such bargains. I remember seeing lots of books like this at The Works so if you have one close it might be an idea to pop one or two on your Christmas List.
    Take care

  5. Gosh that's a great price from Tesco's - got one of these at the beginning of the year for my bestie mate - you can't beat a bit of colouring in - it was meant to keep us away from the biscuits - doesn't work. Jackie x #20

  7. Those colouring books are gorgeous aren't they. I've been sorting out my spectrum noir pencils this week and think I need to move on to one of these books now. I've bought my DD one for Xmas but think I might get myself one too, it's very relaxing.
Glad Keegan is doing so well

  8. I had a look back first so happy to read about Keagan (not the ankle injury or the bite though! ) I hope you are a bit better now too! I have a few bargain colouring books from Sainsburys although no matter how long I colour for I fear I will never get to your standard! It's good to be back! Chrisx

  11. Hi there really like your colouring books - and what a bargain. Have looked at some but still not bought yet. Did do some colouring in with my granddaughter and grandson at the weekend. My eldest grandson showed me his new 'grown up colouring book grandma' and explained his intention with the one he had started. He had done it very well. So glad your son has settled in - how excited you must be re seeing him. Anne x #23

  12. Oh to be young like Keagan again, Zoe, and keen enough to get up at 5.15am! I struggle to wake any earlier than 7.30am these days. He's had quite an incident filled week too. I have always loved horses, at a safe distance. And it is those huge teeth that fill me with qualms so Keagan has my sympathy - hope the bite heals quickly. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #31

  13. Enjoy the colouring books - at least you've got plenty of pens to choose from to use.. lol!! Glad Keagan is getting on ok, even with a few tumbles and things, at least he's doing what he loves. xx Helen 3

  14. Those colouring books are really good value. I have 3 and I mostly colour them when I want to be creative but am too tired or stressed out to do anything that requires a lot of thinking. Your sons chosen career sounds really interesting. I have occasionally seen the horses out in the morning for exercise at the Newmarket ground and am always amazed how big they really are compared to the jockey on their back.
    Have a good week,

  15. Your son sounds as though he's enjoying himself even if he's having a rough start. My daughter has lots of colouring books on her list this holiday and I'm enjoying picking them out. I didn't know there were so many colouring books out there!

  18. Gorgeous colouring books... I'm trying to keep away from them, cause I have so much crafting going on as it is :)
Just been sorting out my daughters roommate problem at her boarding school. Looks like a solution is found and everything will be fine. Great to hear your son is getting along, important things in life mean suffering discomfort at times :)
