Good afternoon!
I've been quiet again I know. Just mooching along doing what needs to be done. But the last few days have been so busy. I felt well enough so we went to football on Saturday, took Keagan to the stables on Sun, it was Keagan's 16th birthday Monday so we had a lovely long day ending with a fish and chip sit down meal out in the evening which was Keagan's choice and then as again I felt well enough we went to football last night as well!
2 games in space of 4 days. Now it's hit me. Am sat here in my onesie feeling shattered and in pain but smiling cos the last few days have been fun and enjoyable but please, someone, tell me how have I ended up with a 16 year old son?!!!
Here's a pic from Saturday, we stayed behind after the game to meet the players, here we are with my fav player Lee Brown, a typical selfie pic!!
So my desk has been pretty much untouched of late. To me it's untidy and I really don't have the energy to clear it so it'll stay like it until I feel or need to sort it -
For once pens are put away, the Beatrix Potter stuff is still there as are the Sheena Douglas Christmas stamps.
The window side has bits I have stamped some decoupage I have been creating myself using those stamps. Oh the receipts are from mine and mums shopping, we do that scan gadget thing but put both our shop together so when I get home I go through the receipts and work out our bills. We usually know roughly what we spend.
There you go, I'm off to rest and watch a couple of Lost dvds. I re-watching the whole thing again, am on series 2 at mo.
Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground to find out why I'm showing you this if you don't know!
Take care Zo xx
HI Zoe- stop overdoing it! lol. Its so easy though, isn't it? You feel fine at the time. When we went to London the other Saturday, I felt fine all day, Sunday I think I spent most of it sleeping. And a 16 year old son- you wonder where that went? My eldest was 40 this year, my youngest 26!I have no idea where that all went, either.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #36 xx
ReplyDeleteZoe your selfie is awesome! I love that stamp on your desk too--so cute. I understand about not having the energy--but sometimes our craft tables call to us and the energy just arrives! Have a great day! Sandy Leigh #54
ReplyDeleteI dunno, your desk looks pretty tidy to me! Love that stamp with the mixing bowl, such a nice image to color.
ReplyDeleteThere must be a special skill to taking good selfies, and you've got it. :-)
Happy Woyww,
Sandy #27
That definitely counts as a tidy desk in my books! Glad you had a great weekend, but take it easy for a bit now and put your feet up. Can you do us all a favour though? Once you get to the end of Lost perhaps you could just explain it cos I never did quite get what was going on!!!

awesome crafty space Zoe but I think the picture of you and the guys is best! Take care and rest the next couple days so you can get control of that pain. Like you I did way too much this week and I am 'resting' today! Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Vickie #25
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Keagan and you had a good couple of days...love that selfie! Just take care now and allow yourself time to get better.
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks immaculate to me but I know it's probably irking you......
Hugs, LLJ 20 xx
Thanks for that Zoe- now I really feel old, lol! :) xx
ReplyDeleteHi Zoe, the best piece of advice I received from a consultant was to pace myself and be aware of my limitations - good advice which you might want to consider :) The desk clearing can wait. Lovely selfie :) I'm not playing this week - my asthma is giving me trouble so just resting and doing a bit of scrapping instead. Take care. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteGlad you all had such a good time, Zoe, but take care of yourself. You are very precious. Crafting will always be there to welcome you back, when you're feeling stronger. Chris # 23

ReplyDeleteAngie #67
Looks tidy to me but for YOU I know you think it's a mess :) I never got in the habit of taking selfies but the kids seem to do it ALL the time. And I am with you - how do *I* have a 21 YO??? DOH!

Hi Zoe, love the stamps on your desk, I don't recognise them.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look untidy to me it's just resting until you feel ready to return.
Hope you have a good week, Angela x 39
Hello my lovely ;D
ReplyDeleteYou have been burning the candle at both ends haven't you? But what a fantastic time. How have you got a 16 year old? Well I have a 22 and (shock/horror/gasp a 29 year old!!!
But that's just between you and me Zo... as you know I'm only 19!
I think your desk will wait until your feeling better. Rest up and enjoy yourself.
xoxo
Oops p.s. Happy belated birthday to Keagan. Also fantastic selfie
I consider that tidy!
ReplyDeleteWe did that scanning thing too when we lived in Bristol. I got quite a lot of nice presents after doing it for years.
That stamp looks lovely and I'm impressed by the amount of pens/markers. That is a serious collection!
Sorry I'm a day late but I had to watch the great British Bake Off yesterday!
Have a good week!

I agree with the others, Zoe - that desk is not untidy lol!! I've seen far worse - including my own. It sounds as if you had a great time with the family, and I know what it is to overdo things and forget to pace yourself.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #32
It is wonderful when you feel good to go somewhere and have a nice time but then the next day you are right down at the bottom - still we have to carry on and enjoy every minute we can! Ah your son is 16 - my daughter was 29 in August! Time does fly!
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs,
Cardarian
