Happy New Year everyone!
I was determined to join in with this WOYWW as it's the first of the year! Pop over to The Queen of desks - Julia's to see what it's all about and to join in if you feel you want to bare all!
Okay my desk -
You can see the super yummy Pretty Pocket large Purple Smash folio, which I was given for Christmas by my parents. It's much larger than normal Smash Books and as the name suggests it has pockets already bound into the book. I chose these 2 pages and the central pocket to 'Smash' photos and keepsakes from Christmas 2012. One of my resolutions for 2013 is to make a real effort to do more with my photos and to journal more. I want to create a set of books/albums/Smash books that share who I am past & present so that in the future we can look back and remember. Plus Keagan will have some 'real history' to hopefully share with his children and grandchildren in years to come. I guess we all do that in our own ways, but I've really struggled to do this in 2012 so I plan to catch up!
Other than that, there's the usual suspects on the desk & in the window are some bits and bobs I've been playing with and you can just about see the piles of stamps that need cutting out!
Over the next few days I shall visit those of you I follow and then a random selection of the rest of you, sorry I can't visit more, but who know's how many I'll get to this week. I can only do my best! Ha ha.
Hope you'll all continue to support me in 2013 like you did in 2012, there's a some exciting things going on but I can't tell you yet! You'll have to pop by now and again to find out more!
Take care Zo xx
Happy New Year Zo! Good luck with the Smash book, sincerely. I made it through my December Daily and enjoyed it but don't know if I'm ready to commit to scrapping (at least traditionally) full time. We shall see! Thanks for popping by!

Happy new year, Zoe!!
ReplyDeleteI would be delighted to donate stuff towards both charities you mentioned. Would you be happy if I sent you some items for you to pass on for others to sell? That would be easy for me if it's possible. I think they are fantastic charities and I know how much you have talked about how they've helped you so I'd be delighted to help in my little way.
Hugs, aLLJ 31 xxxx
That would be fantastic, thanks lovely. xx

fabulous resolution Zoe, you will not regret journaling, or doing more with your precious images, it is truly sad when memories are lost rather than preserved, and other people love to 'know' us from our written work as well as what they hear from our mouths...

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Zoe. You look as though you are really getting stuck into your new book. I love the idea of the pockets. You sound like a girl after my own heart. i want to do far more scrapbooking this year and intend to do an album with my MIL to get all her old photos and the wonderful stories she has to go with them recorded for history.

ReplyDeleteBrilliant present, Zoe, the pockets sound like a great addition to your book as it saves you making and adding them. I'm sure your son will really appreciate it when he is older too. Wishing you a happy and healthy year ahead and I look forward to reading more of your posts throughout the year. Hugs, Elizabeth x #54

ReplyDeleteWTG! Zoe I love the new Smash book pages. I need to do something like that before my memory goes. I just read a post about Wiltshire that brought back some awesome memories from 10-15 years ago that I wish I had written down. I think I will start something like the smash book soon! Hope you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Look forward to your posts in 2013! Vickie #17

Love your new smash book Zo - I can see it'll be a fabby project. Happy New Year and sorry I'm a bit late commenting for WOYWW. The ironing basket mugged me and demanded to be emptied! Hugs, Di xx #19
ReplyDeleteI too have created some smash book pages around Christmas this year! I have been doing traditional scrapbooking for a number of years, but struggled with mojo last year, so have decided that I will smash book a double page spread most weeks this year to capture the year...I do also want to try and catch up with my normal scrapbooking, but that will be harder to do! Thank you for sharing. Have a very Happy New Year. Caro #57
ReplyDeleteLove your book!

Hi Zoe, I'm honoured you found time to visit!! I think we all wish we did more with our photos (I'm procrastinating with 2 mini albums, one for a Paris trip and the other for my mum's 90th) so good luck with your plans. Congrats on the DT as well. Hears wishing you a Happy, Healthy 2013. Hugs, Cindy
