Good morning my fellow desk hoppers!
It's beautiful here already, but you're not here for a weather update, are you?
So the desk -
Pretty boring really, some papers and a finished Saturated Canary image ready to make a card, some other images only part coloured, peeking out under the papers are 2 ATC's I've made ready for next week and the lovely Happiness is Homemade sign my boy bought me for my birthday which I haven't decided where to put it yet.
So why is my desk always so tidy I hear you cry - well I don't keep my stuff, like inks, tools etc on it, it's just not big enough and I worry that the sun will dry out my stash so I keep everything on this bookcase, just to my left and behind me slightly!
Wow look at the sun streaming in this morning - it will be lovely working till the sun goes round and then, well I shall go outside and sit and read, it's too nice to stay indoors me thinks!
Right for those of you who are confused by my ramblings, go and have a look at Julia's place you'll soon work it out.
Thanks once again for all of you who visit and for the wonderful comments, they really do keep me going, I failed in my attempt to get round you all last week, brain & body just weren't up to it. So apologies in advance if I don't make it, but I will try!
Take care & enjoy the sunshine
Zo xx
Great idea Zo, i wish i had enough space for this sort of storage but if i put it all away it would never get used lol
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW day

ReplyDeleteNow what's happening over there...SUN? You'll be thinking summers on the way at this rate!
I think that's a perfect day...early crafting then outside to sit with a book. Ahh...
I had a fleece on in the house today but didn't realise that it was 20 degrees outside until I walked out into the garden. Not bad for autumn eh?
Have a fun day desk hopping and thanks for popping over to my place. I love you visiting. Enjoy the day ;D Neesie #11

It really is a treat for us to see early morning sunshine. I spent all morning trying to get to as many as possible - I made it to you so not too bad. Went out and had lunch in the garden - 15 mins and now burnt! Can't really complain though. Loving the papers that are showing on your desk. Happy WOYWW, Anne #18
ReplyDeleteWow! lots of lovely goodies on that book shelf! Lovely coloured image too. It's nice to see the sun isn't it. April#97 x
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen that sentiment before but it is so right - Happiness IS homemade. All the money and riches in the world can't beat a wonderful family and the love that goes with it.
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #57 xx
I'd need a few of those bookcases to get all my stash stored away - have far too much and forget what I have half the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by earlier - much appreciated. StepD was going to watch the torch this morning in Southmead and taking the children to school late, hope she didn't have to wait too long.

I have a shelving unit placed about where your is near my desk too. It is filled--the bottom shelf is all magazines, the next two shelves are three 3-drawer containers with patterned scraps, and the top is a paper holder with stuff piled higher and higher up it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that your shelving unit looks a lot more useful than mine. When everything I did was patterned paper scraps mine was great but I've rather moved from that some but there is nowhere else to put them. Cute images you have out on your desk.
ReplyDeleteOoh look at all that lovely sunshine streaming in :o) Doesn't it just make you feel so much better xx

ReplyDeleteWoooo sunshine!!! How lovely to craft in a sunbeam! Very drizzly in Blackpool today, hopefully sunny tomorrow! Trish #51
ReplyDeleteIts great to have everything close to hand but not on your workspace. The sun does look lovely there - I hope you got out in it okay x
ReplyDeleteI store mine away behind wall to wall and floor to ceiling shelved cupboards. Should I rip the sliding doors off, and if so can I please blame you? :)

Got to get it to my desk yet though - don't hold your breath!
ReplyDeleteKxoxo
Isn't it nice to be working with sunshine now instead of electic lighting!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the shock of two tidy desks! I can inform you they are no longer tidy as my Buddy has been up!
Your workspace looks very organised Zoe - maybe you could pop round and do a wee tidy up in my craft room (and maybe if youv'e a month or so to spare, you could do Nathan's bedroom too!!)
ReplyDeleteBernice (#82)
What a beautiful sunny day you have there. It is much easier when all your bits are close but off the desk. Love the little Happiness sign.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Hi Zo, thanks for stopping by my blog this week. I am trying to play catch up. I have been so bad the last couple of weeks. I really do love those images you have on your desk. And all of the sunshine coming in. Happy WOYWW. #116
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have need of venetian blinds, so you can change the angle of the light coming in but still have lots of it! Love that little sign...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
So that's your secret to a tidy desk! But you're right to keep the stuff out of the sun like that. Hope you enjoyed a lovely relaxing day and got to sit outside with your book, hopefully the sun will keep shining.

ReplyDeleteHappy crafting, Erika. #90
really late getting around this week. your space looks really organized a woman after my own heart. have a great week
ReplyDeleteI like how you keep your things on a bookshelf, I do that too, but mostly because I'm easily distracted :) Enjoy the beautiful day!!
ReplyDeleteHere in Yorkshire the sun is also shining, beautiful. I see you are still playing with the delightful girls from Saturated Canary, I think they are some of the nicest images about at the mo.Hope you enjoy the sunshine and your book, sounds like bliss.

Hi, Zoe, thanks for popping over for a visit. That was a thoughtful gift from your son -- he knows his Mom. :) I like your button jars on the white shelf. I have so far resisted keeping my distress inks out, but will probably eventually succumb. Right now they're in a drawer right under my table. Happy WOYWW (on Thursday) from Laura #130
ReplyDeleteOh so tidy! Not like my crafting area, which is usually where ever I park myself and my assortment of bits and bobs. Thanks for dropping by and leaving me a comment!
ReplyDeleteWhen you've not got a lot of space, Zo, untidiness is a luxury you can't afford lol! Very tidy workspace you have! Glad you enjoyed the sunshine today - far too hot for me, and I can't be creative with the sun in my eyes either! Lol! Good thing we're not all the same, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment on my blog and your anniversary greetings - we've had a lovely day out at the museum and I've come back armed with lots of photos and plenty of artistic inspiration!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #133
aha, do I spot the washing powder boxes? Nice to see your bookshelf is slightly out of order - makes me feel a bit better about letting you call round to my desk!
ReplyDeleteGreat space with all that sunshine! Enjoy, barb
ReplyDeleteYou look very organised. Neat work space. I worry about the sun as well because my small desk gets it.
ReplyDeleteLike the images I can spy. Thanks for stopping by.
Carol
Zoe, I do like you and keep a lot of my tools and supplies on shelves and counters within reach of my small 3 ft x 3 ft work table. That is what works for me though it does get a bit messy now and then. Enjoyed visiting your place and thanks again for visiting my WOYWW post this week. ~ Sandy T. from Texas
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late Zo! I love your tidy space and bookcase! Can't wait to see your ATC's for next week!
ReplyDeletexxDaniella #135
Love your colored images. I am so glad you showed your cabinet, I was beginning to think I must be doing something wrong. Of course, even your cabinet looks tidy...I must be doing something wrong. Hope you have enjoy nice days.
ReplyDeleteNice to have shelves to stash everything! I hope you got outside to read in the sunshine. Have a great WOYWW!

And thanks for visiting!
A well organised little shelf - I wish all mine were as neat and tidy!! x Jo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI can see how having a small desk helps you be tidy, but for me it would just encourage mess everywhere else. Don't know how you do it, but I'm very impressed!
cheers,
rachel no. 90 (I was 91, but now I'm 90)
Loving the sign your son brought for you, how thoughtful.
ReplyDeleteI used to store all my inks and pens in the cupboard out of the way too but I’m not very good at putting things away after I’ve used them and gradually I ended up with more on the back of the table than in the cupboard….so that’s where they live now, Lol!
Have a good week and……..
Happy Crafting!

Hi Zo,
ReplyDeleteLook at that sunshine! Isn't it great to be warmed by the sun while doing what we love to do!
About putting things away - sometimes I'm good and sometimes I'm not. Right now I'm going through a good clean period -- that could change at any time!
Thanks for visiting me already - I'm slow at getting around this week.
Hugs,
Kay #141
Anything goes at WOYWW? - but never be sorry for an organised desk - looking good to me - who had lost sight of any sense of cleanliness and crafty order... Thanks so much for calling by - enjoy the weekend! Sarah.
ReplyDeleteYou are well organised. I try to be but keep pushing stuff a bit further back or to the sides and then have to have a big clear up!! Thanks for visiting me. Enjoy the sunshine. Anne x
ReplyDeleteYou look very organised and tidy. I start off tidy and push stuff back and to the side - anywhere I can balance it in the end. Then have to have a big clear up again. Enjoy the sunshine and thanks for visiting me. Anne x
ReplyDeletehappiness IS homemade! Cute. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been gorgeous weather here too Zoe, I'm lovin' it. Your desk looks fab so does your bookcase, I know what you mean about the sun drying out your stuff, I keep wanting to move into the conservatory but I just know it'll dry my pens & inks out.
ReplyDeleteTeresa xx
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI like tidy - one can find things and work in a clean area! Your sunshine is wonderful to see - we have lots of rain here! Wishing you a happy weekend!
